How do I create a DEX trading wallet?
A DEX trading wallet is a self-custody wallet built on smart contracts, designed for exchange users—especially beginners. Its goal is to lower the entry barrier and improve security. With a DEX trading wallet, you don’t need to manage private keys or seed phrases, understand gas fees, or withdraw funds to an on-chain wallet. You can directly use your exchange balance to trade on-chain tokens. Passkey is used as the core authentication tool for signing transactions, managing your wallet, and recovering your account.
What do I need to prepare before creating a Passkey wallet for DEX trading?
When creating a Passkey wallet, you’ll need to log in to a cloud service where your wallet will be backed up automatically:
- Completed video identity verification
- Created a Passkey in the exchange
- A device that supports Passkey (iOS 16+ or Android 7+ with Google services access)
- An email address that complies with the zkEmail standard
How do I create a DEX trading wallet?
- Entry point: the first time you trade a DEX token, go to the trading page or asset page and select Create Wallet.
- Introduction page: read the product introduction and agree to the disclaimer.
- Email verification: the system will check if your linked email meets zkEmail requirements. If not, you’ll need to update it.
- Create Passkey: - If your device supports it and no Passkey has been created yet, the system will guide you through creating one.
- Passkeys are automatically backed up to iCloud (iOS) or your Google account (Android).

- Deploy wallet: - The system will silently create and deploy your smart contract wallet on supported chains, for example, Solana, Base, BSC.
- On some chains, for example, BSC or Base, your first transaction may require you to pay gas fees.

- Activation complete: once the wallet is created successfully, you can start trading on supported chains.
How do I manage the Passkey for my DEX trading wallet?
Go to the User Center in the top Menu > Security Settings > Passkeys > DEX.
Note:
- You can rename or delete Passkeys in this section.
- If only one Passkey remains, it cannot be deleted.
What important item I should take note of?
- Your Passkey is the only credential for recovering your wallet and signing transactions. Keep it safe and backed up.
- Once “escape mode” is activated, you’ll have full control of your assets. We'll no longer provide custody services.
- If your wallet address is flagged as a “black address,” you can only escape or deactivate the wallet—you won’t be able to continue trading.
- Before making changes, we recommend backing up the private key or seed phrase of your target Externally Owned Account (EOA).
