PSA: The MetaMask Rewards program and the future MetaMask TGE are two different things. Both will, in meaningful ways, give back to you and the ecosystem. 🧵

MetaMask Rewards is live now. It’s a loyalty program that gives you meaningful benefits for the actions you take, similar to programs that exist offchain. And while we denominate MetaMask rewards in “points,” those points translate to real rewards. This is a first-of-its-kind onchain program that we will evolve over time - it’s not a one and done thing. We’ve been building in this space for a decade, and we are building for the decades to come.

MetaMask Season 1 rewards include over $30M in @LineaBuild tokens. Not 30M tokens - $30M worth of tokens. That $30M is considering the price of the token at the point of the MetaMask Rewards launch, and there is room for flexibility in the case of price volatility. Additionally, all $LINEA rewards earned and held through MetaMask Rewards Season 1 will count toward future rewards.

MetaMask Rewards and the future MetaMask TGE will relate to one another. The TGE will celebrate those helping shape the MetaMask ecosystem today, including OGs who’ve stuck around or come back to rejoin the journey.
