Everyone is busy chasing “AI narratives”… but few actually understand the stack @wallchain
Top 10 AI crypto plays going into 2026 aren’t memes; they’re infrastructure:
→ Bittensor ( $TAO) = decentralized intelligence marketplace
→ NEAR Protocol ( $NEAR) = AI-native Layer 1 for agents
→ Render Network ( $RNDR) = GPU supply for the AI boom
→ ASI Alliance ($FET) = agent economy backbone
→ Internet Computer ( $ICP) = fully on-chain compute
→ The Graph ($GRT) = data layer for AI queries
→ Akash Network ($AKT) = decentralized cloud
→ Virtuals Protocol ( $VIRTUAL) = consumer AI agents
→ Chainlink ( $LINK) = real-world data pipes
→ Ocean Protocol ( $OCEAN) = data monetization layer
Notice the pattern?
Compute. Data. Agents. Infrastructure.
Not vibes. Not promises. Not “tap daily to earn”.
Now compare that to $PI Network:
→ No real AI infra
→ No meaningful compute layer
→ No data economy
→ Just “trust me bro, mainnet soon”
It’s like bringing a calculator to an AI war.
2026 winners won’t be the loudest…
They’ll be the ones quietly building the rails AI runs on.

Been digging into Web3 projects lately, but I’m approaching most of them with a healthy dose of skepticism. The space is still 90% hype and noise, so I’m focusing on the few that at least claim to prioritize real usability over empty promises.
@RiverdotInc talks a big game about turning social activity, voting, staking, and contributions into actual habits with $RIVER. Sounds good on paper ; but I’ve seen plenty of “reward consistency” narratives fizzle out when token incentives dry up.
@wallchain says they’re measuring real mindshare instead of bot-driven hype. Interesting idea, but I’m not fully convinced any on-chain metric can truly separate authentic attention from clever gaming.
@3look_io keeps creator campaigns dead simple ; just post and engage. Fair enough, but I wonder if “simple” is enough when attention is so fragmented everywhere.
On the infra side, @NomismaNetwork is pushing AI-ready DeFi and on-chain data. Could be important… or just another buzzword layer that never sees real adoption.
@quipnetwork is diving into quantum computing and post-quantum security. Technically intriguing, but feels very early and speculative ; I’ll believe the real threat when I see it.
Then there’s @sleepagotchi, rewarding sleep tracking and healthy habits. Cute concept, but part of me questions how long people will keep checking in once the novelty and token rewards wear off.
And @useTria is trying to make wallets and chains actually simple for normal users. This is probably the most needed thing in crypto… yet wallet UX “solutions” have disappointed me more times than I can count.
At the end of the day, I’m still asking the same skeptical question: Will any of these actually make users come back naturally, day after day ; without relying on token price pumps? Hype is easy. Real retention is brutal.
Still watching closely. Most will probably fade, but a few might prove me wrong.
